Timothée Chalamet charmed in his “Saturday Night Live” launching.
The “Little Females” star gamely hosted Saturday’s episode, in which he teamed up multiple times with cast member Pete Davidson playing TikTok rap artists and devoted sports fans, and scored a prospective viral hit with silly country tune “Tiny Horse.”
In among the night’s most memorable moments, Chalamet, 24, plays a real coronavirus cell, in a sketch entitled “A Rona Family Christmas.” The sketch follows a household of COVID-19 molecules in the house for the holidays, celebrating their achievements in contaminating the White Home and college campuses. Chalamet plays a deadbeat infection kid who threatens to get the vaccine and bemoans his moms and dads have actually disregarded him throughout the second wave.
” If you don’t start infecting again, your career’s over,” his dad (Beck Bennett) tells him. “You’re gon na wind up like those washed-up viruses on ‘Dancing with the SARS.'”
” Hey, I’m simply following (Andrew) Cuomo’s stay-at-home orders!” Chalamet says.
” You do not discuss Cuomo in this household!” his dad retorts. “You know damn well that President Trump is the only one watching out for us! We would not still be here without Trump!”
Later on in the episode, Chalamet impersonated previous One Direction singer Harry Styles, in a sketch spoofing singer Dionne Warwick’s (Ego Nwodim) current Twitter fame. Other visitors on Warwick’s mock daytime talk show consisted of Davidson, playing long time good friend Gatling gun Kelly, Melissa Villaseñor as Billie Eilish, and this year’s breakout star Chloe Fineman, playing a giddy variation of Chalamet that she’s perfected on social networks.
” I’m sort of a sensuous fashion guy,” Chalamet stated as Designs. “You might state I ‘do it’ for everyone.”
Chalamet opened the episode with a genial monologue about his New York roots, revealing that his mother when looked like an additional on “SNL” in the iconic sketch “Massive Head Wound Harry” with Dana Carvey.
