Your day.
As a Certified Medical Assistant you need to know how to:
- Greet and prepare patients for the healthcare supplier while preserving a favorable and caring attitude.
- Be attentive to client’s needs, coordinate care, administer care, and file properly.
- Provide for client safety and defense of patient personal privacy rights by observing HIPAA policies.
- Obtain and record client information; crucial signs, height, weight, allergic reactions, present medications, case history, and chief grievance, etc.
- Might be needed to draw and gather blood samples and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
- Per Provider request, might carry out routine tests consisting of but not limited to EKG’s, hearing and vision screens.
- Schedule clients for diagnostic testing and follow up as suitable to guarantee completion of screening.
- Communicate test results to patients and establish plan of care by phone or mail as directed by the Provider.
- Document client plan( s) of care, tests and evaluation lead to the medical record as directed by the provider.
- Prepare, tidy and disinfect instruments and maintain devices; stock client test rooms while keeping tidiness and company, and dispose of infected items according to protocol.
- Administer ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topical, rectal, ophthalmic, and/or inhalant administration.
Your experience.
We hire people, not resumes. But we likewise expect excellence, which is why we need:
- High School Diploma or comparable
- Existing BLS certification backed by the American Heart Association
- Effective conclusion of an Accredited National Certification Test (i.e.: AAMA or AMT) for Licensed Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
- Minimum of three (3) months of previous experience within a health care setting
- Successful conclusion of preliminary MA onboarding program within 90 days, annual skills fair, and in-services for site particular jobs
Preferred:
- Graduate from a recognized Medical Assistant program
- A minimum of one (1) year of Medical Assistant experience
